Power Outtage by Flashlight

Our neighborhood had a power outage so we had dinner by candlelight. After dinner I decided to read my book by flashlight. Daddy was clever enough to put a flashlight in a glass to extra light. Mommy thinks we should have an "outage" every night.

Thanksgiving at Uncle Roy & Aunt Darlene's

We spent Thanksgiving at Uncle Roy and Aunt Darlene's house this year. They have a really cool park not far away. It was a great way to get rid of some energy before and after our meal. It was lots of fun.

I'm 30 months old!

I am such a big girl. I like singing "Twinkle, twinkle, little star.... how I 'number' what you are". Daddy caught me singing the alphabet song too. I know my full name and address and almost have my phone number down pat. I love playing at the park and I have no fear!

Happy Halloween

I had fun decorating our pumpkin with Daddy. The stuff inside is sticky and gooey. I didn't like that part very well, though.



Check out my pretty, pretty princess costume. My costume didn't even make it through the first "jump-jump" at the festival.

2009 Family Beach Vacation

Another beach trip, here I come! I just LOVED playing in the sand and running in and out of the water (as long as it did not sneak up on me).

Sculpter in Training

Look what I did all by myself. I brought it to Daddy while he was "type-typing" on the computer, so he took a picture. I am quite proud of myself (as you can see in the background).

County Fair

I enjoyed the county fair. It was my very first fair. I enjoyed the petting zoo and the tractor ride. I was too little to ride most of the rides, though. That's okay. I still had lots of fun.

Daddy walked beside while I "steered" my tractor. I turned the wheel in the correct direction the tractor needed to go. I am SO smart. Future driver in training. Look out.

Baby Line-up

I love to line up my babies when I wake up in the morning. In fact, I've been known to line up lots of things.....: beach chairs at the toy store, booster seats at restaurants, books at home. They all have to be lined up left to right and perfectly straight. The picture shows me counting my babies and posing for the picture. I'm such a ham.

Baking Cookies with Daddy

Daddy let me help bake cookies today! I took the wrapper off the butter.....



and stirred the ingredients.....


and sat in my chair watching them bake in the oven.


They turned out YUMMY!

Happy Birthday Gamma and Uncle Tim!

We went out to eat to celebrate Gamma's birthday on the 9th and Uncle Tim's birthday on the 6th. I had a great time. I got Gamma a photo album of pictures of me. I recorded my voice saying, "happy birthday, Gamma", but the batteries died before she got to hear it for herself. Hopefully we can find some replacement batteries soon.

27 months old today

My vocabulary astounds Mommy and Daddy on a daily basis. My favorite TV shows are Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Backyardigans and Handy Manny. I love playing on my play gym out back, but the tiger mosquitos are terrible right now. I have mastered all the gates in the house. No, I don't open them, I just climb right over. Thank goodness I've only tried the crib once.

CMoR

CMoR is my favorite place. It stands for Children's Museum of Richmond. I have a great time every time I am there. I try to make friends with everybody. I am quite the social butterfly and I'm not shy at all.

Yorktown, here we come!

We went to the York River. It was definitely different than the ocean. It was my first time at the river.....

and also my first trip across a ferry boat.

Both very fun.

I made fast friends with the girls by the river. I even tried to make friends with a jellyfish. Unfortunately, it wasn't the friendly type. I grabbed it's head with both hands and it's tentacles got me around the wrists. I did not even cry. I wasn't sure what to do, but I wasn't very upset about it. I just wanted to go back to playin' and playin' and playin' in the water.
